Chasty King is a Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor and Peer Support Specialist. Chasty graduated Gaston College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science and majored in Human Services Substance Abuse Technology. She is the President and founder of The Calling, Inc., which is an outreach ministry focused on helping those experiencing homelessness, incarceration, and/or addiction. In addition, she is an ordained evangelist in the five-fold ministry office, small business owner, author, and a public speaker who shares her life experiences with the world. Her mission is to make a difference in people’s lives - not to be noticed - but to make a noticeable difference.

SHAME TO GLORY

In 2011, Chasty was arrested with no bond and charged with eight drug felonies from selling schedule I, II, and IV controlled substances. Her mugshot was published in The Kings Mountain Herald, along with several others from an investigation called "Operation Gift-Wrapped."

This article covers facts for the most part in exception to the part where it states, "...who received a laptop for school for free through Narcotics Anonymous."? A laptop was given to me by someone who was a member of NA, NOT Narcotics Anonymous.

Also in exception is where the article states, "... and work on securing funding to open a men’s shelter for The Calling." We are wanting to open a house, not a shelter. Big difference.
